Isn't it great to be from Louisiana right about now?

Think about it. The LSU Tigers won the BCS Championship and are the only 2-time BCS Champions. The New Orleans Saints, although they finished 7-9, have the 10th pick in the draft and a ton of salary cap room, so they can make some serious upgrades. The New Orleans Hornets are the leaders of their division, the host team for the NBA All-Star game, their coach Byron Scott is the coach of the All-Star team, and Chris Paul and David West both made the All-Star team. And to add to that, for the second straight year, A quarterback from Louisiana (New Orleans to be exact) hoisted the Lombardi Trophy at the end of the Super Bowl and was the MVP of the game (Peyton & Eli Manning). To make it sweeter, Eli Manning was joined by Napoleanville, LA native Brandon Jacobs, who had a key 1 yard run to keep the game winning drive going, and Baton Rouge, LA native Reggie Torbor, who played a role in the smothering defense the Giants played. Plus it's Mardi Gras time. Louisiana is KING right now!
